Stalk Strength Test- With and Without the Yetter Devastator

Many farmers across North America have seen that using the Yetter Stalk Devastator severely helps protect the tires of your combine, grain cart & tractor, tillage implements & tractor, and even trucks when pulling into the field.  And hundreds of farmers have told us that they have witnessed the benefits of faster stalk decomposition when using the Devastator.  Recently we were in a field where we had the opportunity to see the difference that the Devastator was making because we were running the Devastator on some rows of the corn head but not on all rows.  The difference we saw was so dramatic that we have tried to capture these differences and even put some tangible numbers to them.  In a previous blog post, we showed you the video from the field where the non-devastated stalks were still very juicy inside (one day after harvest) while the devastated stalks were dry inside due to the fact that they were smashed during harvest.  We took some of these cornstalks and decided to measure the strength of the remaining stalk.  In this video we compare the force required to break the non-devastated stalks vs. the force that it took to break the already devastated stalk.  The results illustrate the acceleration that the Stalk Devastator is doing to help decompose your cornstalks.  If you have seen similar results or have any questions please email us at info@yetterco.com or send us a message on Facebook  or Twitter.
