New TrackTill From Yetter Helps Farmers Beat Soil Compaction!

Colchester, Ill. - Yetter Manufacturing is excited to welcome the 9010 TrackTill® product series, a rolling tine system designed to eliminate soil compaction and increase yields.

TrackTill was created by Agriculture Concepts founder Colin Hurd to eliminate pinch row compaction caused by the tractor and planter during planting. "We are excited to be able to manufacture and market TrackTill to our dealers and customers, " stated Derek Allensworth, marketing manager at Yetter Manufacturing.

TrackTill is an attachment designed to address a specific problem: changes in the bulk density of the soil resulting from pinch row compaction that occurs while heavy equipment travels through the field. This compaction limits the roots' growth and diminishes infiltration of water and nutrients. The result can be greatly reduced yields in the pinch rows, causing the grower to lose several bushels per acre.

Research conducted by Iowa State University has shown:
  • an 8.12 bushel increase in the center rows.
  • a 6.5% increase in corn plant height.
  • a 16% reduction in compaction when using TrackTill.
The TrackTill Series is offered in either central mount or frame mount kits. The TrackTill Central Mount (CM) kit is designed to mount around the central frame of planters with 30" row spacing. The CM kit includes four hydraulic down pressure cylinders, four mounting assemblies with vertical 10" tine rollers attached. The TrackTill Frame Mount (FM) is designed to mount to the frame of planters with 20-22" or 30" row spacing. The FM kit includes fully pneumatic adjustable down pressure as well as four mounting assemblies with the attached vertical 10" tine rollers.

Stalk Strength Test- With and Without the Yetter Devastator

Many farmers across North America have seen that using the Yetter Stalk Devastator severely helps protect the tires of your combine, grain cart & tractor, tillage implements & tractor, and even trucks when pulling into the field.  And hundreds of farmers have told us that they have witnessed the benefits of faster stalk decomposition when using the Devastator.  Recently we were in a field where we had the opportunity to see the difference that the Devastator was making because we were running the Devastator on some rows of the corn head but not on all rows.  The difference we saw was so dramatic that we have tried to capture these differences and even put some tangible numbers to them.  In a previous blog post, we showed you the video from the field where the non-devastated stalks were still very juicy inside (one day after harvest) while the devastated stalks were dry inside due to the fact that they were smashed during harvest.  We took some of these cornstalks and decided to measure the strength of the remaining stalk.  In this video we compare the force required to break the non-devastated stalks vs. the force that it took to break the already devastated stalk.  The results illustrate the acceleration that the Stalk Devastator is doing to help decompose your cornstalks.  If you have seen similar results or have any questions please email us at info@yetterco.com or send us a message on Facebook  or Twitter.

Yetter Compact Residue Managers Incorporate New, Convenient Features

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Colchester, Ill. ‒ Yetter Manufacturing is releasing new product
features for the Short Titan™ series. The product models with the
new features include the 2967-029A/2967-097A Short Titan™ with
operating widths of 22–40ʺ and the 2967-013A / 2967-014A Short
Narrow Titan™ with operating widths of 15ʺ–22ʺ.
The Short Titan™ series’ new design has features that allow for
more convenient and faster installation of the Precision Planting
CleanSweep™. The 2967-029A / 2967-013A now have welded ear
tabs on the faceplate, whereas the previous model required
the pivot tab for the cylinder to be bolted on. The
redesigned handle also provides a contact point when the
residue managers reach maximum travel and a mounting
point for the cylinder.
The 2967-097A/2967-014A include these improved features
as well, but they have also been designed to become more
universal by utilizing the 2966-097 mounting kit. The 2967-
097A / 2967-014A are the combination of the 2967-029A
/2967-013A with the 2966-097 kit, which is the mounting
plate with hardware. As a result, should a grower choose to
switch planters (for example, John Deere, Kinze, CNH, or AGCO),
instead of purchasing new residue managers, they now can
transfer their existing models to the new planter. The 2966-097
also allows for faceplate-mounted attachments to be mounted
on CNH planters by only purchasing the mounting kit.
With the new design our customers will spend less time
installing the CleanSweep™ cylinder to their residue managers
or changing brands of planters by making the residue managers
more universal with the faceplate mounting kit.
